We Machines (v.3) by Chad Strohmayer, Jonathan Giles, Philip R. Bonner, Andrew Koontz, Benton Bainbridge "We Machines" was created in a whirlwind of id and ego color balance was just an afterthought. We spun the colorwheel like a game of spin-the-bottle. We wanted to create a work with very simple situations so we could quickly change in live performance. We found a barely functioning vacuum cleaner to be the most consistent actor we ever worked with. Somehow that became associated with food, probably because we were hungry. And then we realized we needed sex, so we created the 'Girlfriend' out of a dolly, slinky and a mannequin head. I suppose we were frustrated. right or control + click on thumbnails below for full size jpegs.
