live @ EMPAC 360, Troy, NY
A live audiovisual performance 08 September, 2005 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, by Benton-C Bainbridge and Stephan Moore as part of "EMPAC 360: On Site + Sound". This outdoor event featured a great lineup of artists performing on and around the EMPAC construction site to celebrate the midway point in the building's construction.
Moore's music was a 6 channel mix to 6 speakers aligned at road's edge on a steep hill leading up to the concrete understructure of EMPAC's Artist Studio. Bainbridge made a live video mix incorporating sound-influenced video synthesis driven from Moore/Bainbridge's custom analog/digital system VIDYMIS, along with a remix of Jo Kreiter's aerial dance for Flyaway Productions, image processed through the Rutt/Etra Video Synthesizer. The 60 foot wide projection was mapped to the raw concrete wall and synchronized with Pierre-Alain Hubert's fireworks performance (executed by Grucci Brothers).
EMPAC 360 was seen by over 3000 attendees and named "Arts Event of the Year" by the Albany Times Union.
